Wedding countdown: 3 months to go!

Holy balls.

I forgot to share this with you guys last month. My work got onto the Harlem Shake craze (which is already passé now) but it was still a lot of fun making this video!

March was good! We celebrated Susan's birthday with boozy milkshakes...

Tim and I did this... (Sarah challenged us. We were supposed to be kissing, but Tim's 6'4"/220 lbs body was too huge to get me low enough to his face. Ha ha.)

And then Nicole and Rachelle and I spontaneously went to Grande Prairie for a weekend. It's about a four hour drive from Edmonton, and it's Nicole's hometown where her parents live. We found out that our BFF's husband (Dallas Smith) was playing a show there, so we thought that it would be fun to go see him, plus get to see everything about where Nicole grew up. It WAS fun!!

For St. Patty's Day, Tim and Rachelle and I went to a special private 3-course dinner that a favourite restaurant of ours (Three Boars Eatery) was putting on...

Ferret-face Twiggy had a birthday... I thought I should include a picture of her since I haven't posted one for a long time! (Yes, she's still kickin'.)

Canadian Music Week recently happened in Toronto, and so did the Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Awards. These are pretty much the Oscars for radio in Canada, so they're exciting for us.

And we WON!

We won Rock Station of the Year for SONiC 102.9!

And Major Market Program Director of the Year for Al Ford/SONiC 102.9!

For Station of the Year we were up against CJAY 92 in Calgary, The Fox in Vancouver, The Rock in Toronto, The Bear in Edmonton, The Edge in Toronto, The Peak in Vancouver, Q104 in Halifax, and X 929 in Calgary. They're all HUGE stations... So being the over-all winner was pretty hella great.

My parents came to town for Easter this past weekend, which was super great as always. My brother didn't end up coming in the end. We ate LOTS of food, took them to see a movie at the VIP cinema, my Mom and I went to the Diana: A Celebration exhibit while Tim and my Dad went to the Star Wars: Identities exhibit, we had a lovely Easter brunch, and we also took my parents to the Stars concert which they enjoyed!

But probably the most exciting part of their visit was that they came with me to go try on my wedding dress for the first time, and the store gave us champagne to toast with and everything! I can't wait for you all to see the dress!!!!!! I love it so much and it's SO ME, encompassed in gown-form!

My plans for April are pretty minimal, while keeping me constantly busy all at the same time. I have another dress fitting. April 16th will be my 6 year anniversary at SONiC. But there isn't a whole lot happening this month other than getting more wedding things DONE!!!

April 2nd is Jaelyn Leonard's 31st birthday!

That's today! Jaelyn is such a sweet and kind person, and such an amazing Mom. She was the first person to become my friend when I first moved to Regina and I'll always love her very much for that! I hope that Joe and the kids spoil you!

April 7th is Melanie Watson's 32nd birthday!

At a young age, Melanie's spunk and zest for life made a lasting impression on me. She always made it seem as if anything was possible, and for that I am forever grateful. Love you so much Mel and I'm dying to see you!! April 10th is Amy Bull's 28th birthday!

I don't know what I would do without having Amy in my day-to-day life! You truly represent what a best friend is to me and it means EVERYTHING to me that you're going to be one of my bridesmaids! I love you with all of my heart. You're wonderful and special and I hope that Ray spoils you! Or else I just will. ;)

April 18th is Lacey Suttie's 33rd birthday!

Lacey is such a beautiful person, inside and out. You've taught me a lot about integrity and sticking to your guns. You're such a wonderful and fun mother, which I hope to emulate someday! You deserve the most special day with plenty of spoiling from Dallas! Love you so very much!

April 18th is Colen Quinn's 31st birthday!

Colen is one of my very oldest friends! We share the kind of friendship that time and distance cannot affect, and no matter what, I hold you so close to my heart, always. I hope that you have the most incredible birthday as a new Mom and that Jeff spoils you a ton!! I love you!

April 18th is Nadine Bercier's 31st birthday!

I can't even put into words the kind of inspiration that Nadine has been to me. Whenever life puts her into a situation of challenge, she always faces it with grace and strength. You've taught me so much and I have so much love for you and everything that you are. I hope that Kyle and the kids spoil you!
