THE GOODS BLOG: Erika's Precious Little Life - May Edition

It has been nice feeling normal and getting back into our real life. Montreal is an amazing place to live. But at the same time, we really miss being on vacation and adventuring! The weather has gotten decently nice and I’ve been spending the majority of my time back in my yoga classes 4-5 days a week.
Hedley tour 2016 kicked off for me! I’ve seen them in Montreal and Ottawa so far. It’s so strange seeing them now and reflecting upon the past 11 years since it all started. I wouldn’t even know 32% of you guys if it weren’t for them so... I can’t not be grateful. We were only down in Ottawa for one night and I got to see Enobong! (And I went to the concert with her as well.)
We spent the rest of the time at Angela and Greg’s house. And our accountant (Greg, ha ha) did our taxes. We’re getting a big refund this year, so that was exciting! Amelia turned one year old while we were away on vacay and she seems so big now!! Look at all of those chompers! She’ll be walking at any second. (Also, she totally understands smiling at cameras, which makes her my favourite.)
We also went to Cabane à Sucre Au Pied de Cochon for our annual insane sugaring off season feast! It was crazy and incredible as usual. You can read my whole review of this year’s feast HERE, in case you missed it!
The second half of April has been a nice, relaxing time.
BABY WATCH 2016:
Try #2 went down and we are now currently in the grey zone waiting period. I’m expecting my period this week... Or not. So stay tuned!
May is actually a pretty funny month for me... Because I’m leaving home for another month. So to re-cap: I spent a month away from home, was home for three weeks, and now I’m leaving for another month away from home. Do I even live here? Ha ha!
I’m heading to Regina on Tuesday! Looking forward to seeing my family. And then Rachelle is arriving in Regina on Thursday and we’re going to the Hedley concert together in Regina on Friday. VIP tickets!
Then Rachelle and I are driving back to Edmonton together and I’ll be in Edmonton for two weeks. The thought of being home in Edmonton makes me SO EXCITED and I can’t wait to see everyone there!! We’re also going down to Calgary to see Hedley, followed by Hedley in Edmonton on the following night (both with the Core Four). So that will be a total of FIVE Hedley concerts for me on this tour!!! Tim is also going to be arriving in Edmonton for the second half of my visit there.
Then he and I are returning to Regina together. I’ll be in Regina for two weeks. Looking forward to seeing all of my ‘Gina peeps! We’re celebrating Sarah & Shane’s engagement party while we’re there, so that should be awesome. Then Tim is flying to Vancouver for work while I remain in Regina. At some point we’ll both meet back at home in Montreal.
So I’m gone from May 3rd to 31st!

May 27th is Krystie Coutu’s 30th birthday!
Holy crap it’s the dirty 30!!! Being in your 30s is the shit, you’re gonna love it! I hope that this birthday is extra, extra special for you because you deserve every bit of it!! I’m sure that Trevor has something up his sleeve to spoil you. You are so forever important and special to me. I love you incredibly much always!
May 28th is Heather Petrychyn’s 5th wedding anniversary!
