THE GOODS BLOG: Erika's Precious Little Life - March Edition

Hello friends!! Not too much to report from my world over here. February was pretty quiet and I just want winter to go away.

Valentine's Day turned out to be pretty great!

Tim made heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast, we went and got DAVIDsTEA beverages, went to the farmers' market, had fancy cheese, Tim shucked oysters, then he made an epic dinner (filet mignon cooked medium rare with seared foie gras on top, along with brown butter mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts), then sexy lingerie and sexy times followed, then we shared a romantic bubble bath together, then we had dessert (also made by Tim) and watched the movie Romeo + Juliet. The perfect day, really!

I had my eight year yoga birthday... Been getting bendy like it's my job!

I filmed and posted my next The Girl Can't Cook video, which was a lot of fun again although I definitely took on way too much this time! Ha ha! I feel as if my general distaste for cooking was more obvious this time. The feedback has been so positive for them though, so I'm gonna keep at it!

Two of our friends visited for the weekend, Lianna from Oakville and Dave from London (they are not a couple), so we had some fun times with them.

A big annual event called Nuit Blanche was happening, so we took our guests to that. It's a giant all-night party with all sorts of events going on all over the city and a big outdoor area downtown. So we got all bundled up and got up to some crazy fun till 2am!

We went on The RBC Tyrolean Zip-Line, which was super fun. It went across like 3 city blocks!

It was a quiet month but also a fun month.

I'm seriously hoping that March starts to improve weather-wise. I miss my balcony hammock terribly!!

We managed to score a reservation at Chef Martin Picard's Cabane à Sucre Au Pied de Cochon for sugaring off season, so that's pretty much our biggest excitement of the moment! The Cabane is only open for a few weeks, and to get a reservation you need to apply online at exactly midnight on a specific date, and then the whole season gets booked up within a few hours. But I got us in! They serve you a huge fancy multi-course meal, and there is no menu. They just serve you whatever they've decided to make that day. It's supposed to be super epic. I can't wait!!

We're planning to go to Ottawa near the end of the month to visit Angela and Greg, since Angela will be about a week away from her due date at that point and we want to see her at maximum capacity!! I can't believe that we're going to have our very first niece or nephew super soon. Whaaaaaaaat. As soon as Angela goes into labour we're going to drop everything and go to Ottawa as well in order to see that baby FRESH!

Question for my Regina ladies:

Are any of you considering going to the 15 year high school reunion that is getting planned? I'm pretty impressed that it seems like it's getting planned really well. I would really love to be able to go. However, of the three proposed dates (July 25, August 15, September 26) the only one that I could possibly make it to is the August 15th one. For the July date we'll be in Muskoka and for the September date I'm supposed to be in Portugal. So I'm hoping for August so that we can come, but even then we'll have to think about if we actually want to spend the money to fly all the way there for that. Although surely my family would be happy to see us as well. Ha ha.

March 7th is Susan Murphy's 33rd birthday!

BAH HA HA HA!!! I HAD to use this photo!!!!!! We have had some of the BEST times together, let's be honest. This is going to be a big, big year for you and I hope that Matt has some serious plans to spoil you for this birthday! Our entire friendship has mostly revolved around us getting into the funnest of troubles (along with Sarah... S Club 3 guys! Right? ...Guys!?) and I'm so thankful for every amazing memory that we've shared and can't wait to make more. Love you!!!

March 12th is Kristen Smith's 31st birthday!

My sexy olive-eating partner in crime. I simply do not know what I would do without you. I love that even though we are pretty much an entire country apart, that it feels like you are always right by my side. I am so proud of everything that you have accomplished and of the amazing life that you have built. I can't wait to see it all get even BETTER! I hope that Dallas spoils you as well, and always know that I am loving you with all of my heart!

March 19th is Sarah Swalm's 4th wedding anniversary!

I still think about what a blast we had at your wedding in Las Vegas!! I hope that you and Adam get to celebrate your special day with something special!
