THE GOODS BLOG: Erika's Precious Little Life - January Edition

It's a whole brand new year!!! I can't even believe it! I'm feeling pretty motivated to take on the world right now, so I should probably take advantage of this before it fades away. I hope that you all had gloriously wonderful holidays with your loved ones! I'm so pumped to head into 2015 and I can't wait to watch what wonderful things will happen to all of us this year!
December was mostly calm until the holiday travel storm hit... Before leaving Montreal we enjoyed some festive happenings and had our own little Christmas to exchange gifts between the two of us.
Then we were off to Regina for a week! Round one of holiday tour '14!
So much amazing Domanski family time together. I miss them!
I was sure to have quality friend hangouts with any of you ladies who were around! So happy to see all of you as always!!! I am so lucky to have you all in my life.
I got to celebrate my birthday early with my family.
And I yoga'd my little heart out! Sarah and I took a totally awesome class together downtown at Bodhi Tree and then Carrie and I went to the Mackenzie Art Gallery to do a bit of an acro partner photo session, which we had been excitedly planning to do. I honestly didn't think that we would be able to pull off some of the stuff that we were able to do! It was awesome! This has now lit a HUGE fire under me and Carrie's ass and now we're planning to go to Portugal in September to do a yoga and surf retreat together. I wish that this could be our forever lives.
My family had us for Christmas this year, and of course all of that was wonderful.
Then we were off to London for a week! Round two of holiday tour '14!
Again, a ton of awesome Golem family time together!
We got the incredible news that my brother-in-law Jeff (Tim's brother) proposed to his girlfriend Mya!!! Lots of you will remember Mya from my Bachelorette Party and the fact that she is AWESOME. We've all been hoping that she would get locked in to stay! So now my next sister-in-law has been decided! They've already picked a wedding date, which is October 11th, 2015 in London. CAN'T WAIT!
We had a bunch of hangouts with all of our London friends who were in town.
I am still generally overwhelmed by massive family gatherings...
We had a lovely Christmas all over again...
I wanted to go to a yoga studio while in London, but the one that I wanted to try was closed for the holidays the entire time that I was there. So I just yoga'd in the family room...
The Golem ladies all went for pedicures together! My favourite kind of afternoon!
And Tim's family had us for New Years this year, so we went to a small house party and lit sparklers and drank champagne.
And those were our Christmas holidays!!!
As always, I get to start off January with a birthday bang! I'm going to be 33 this year. This is starting to sound kinda old to me. I'm just going to stick with the idea that 30 is the new 20. I also figure that if I keep jumping around all upside down like I do, that I'll confuse my body into thinking that it's younger than it is. ;)
We have almost lived in Montreal for a whole year now, which is weird.
Should be a mainly quiet month to re-charge, settle back in, and get organized for world domination!
As for 2015, it should be an exciting year as usual with plenty of amazing things to look forward to!
My first-ever niece or nephew is going to be born in March or April. We're traveling to Vancouver Island in June and fully intend to recreate our 2012 vacation there (favourite!) that we LOVED - including Qualicum Beach and Tofino - and we'll make sure to stop in to Vancouver as well. As I mentioned, Carrie and I are planning to do a yoga and surf retreat in Portugal in September, which sounds like a dream come true! If Carrie is still living in London (England) at that point, I'm hoping to spend a few days there as well. October is Jeff and Mya's wedding! And then in November we're considering maybe going to a wedding that we're invited to in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I've already been there but Tim has not. Aaaand then we're back to London/Regina Christmas again. We'll see how it all pans out and if we can make it all happen, but I would certainly rather dream big instead of not dream at all!

I am SUPER excited that you have a boy to spoil you this year!!! I have no doubt that Ian will knock it out of the park! I love how much wonderful time we've been able to spend with each other this past year, and I'm so glad that I can have you as my "close friend out east." I love that we have discussions about all things and I am so grateful for the amazing friendship that we've kept for so many years now. Please have a wedding soon. I love you!
