Eat Every Roll at The Eatery: Day 4

My personal favourite sushi restaurant in Vancouver is The Eatery in Kitsilano. (You'll find it featured in the Worldwide Faves section of this blog!) I like it because it's super unique, an amazingly fun atmosphere, casual, not too expensive, located in my neighbourhood... And most of all because the sushi is funky, innovative and exciting! It's a sushi party every time and you're invited!!

The best thing on the menu is their rolls. They offer sixty nine different rolls to choose from!!! Each one is very interesting and far from your average roll. Recently, it occurred to me what I must do. I must try every single one of their funky sushi rolls. I am going to visit The Eatery once a week (Sushi Sunday!), order four rolls each time, and keep doing so until I have tried them all. My husband is going to help with this project in order to provide a second opinion. Sushi Sunday: Day 4

Devil's Tail ~ Sinfully good! Your favourite dynamite roll with spicy tuna. Spicy in a good way with crunch and good sauce. Erika: 3/5 ~ Tim: 4/5 ~ AVERAGE: 3.5/5 Buddha Roll ~ Tempura yams, red pepper, asparagus and lettuce, with dragon sauce. Very veggie! Great crunch and the peppers are interesting. But a little bland. Erika: 2.5/5 ~ Tim: 2.5/5 ~ AVERAGE: 2.5/5 Crazy Spice ~ Wannabe! Spicy tuna with cucumbers topped with spicy salmon & tobiko. A bit too spicy but the salmon was nice. (Where was the tobiko?) Erika: 2/5 ~ Tim: 3/5 ~ AVERAGE: 2.5/5 Cucu's Nest ~ A cucumber wrap with smoked salmon, crab, tamago, ebi and mango. Different! Super fresh! Tons of crab and fruitiness. Erika: 3.5/5 ~ Tim: 3/5 ~ AVERAGE: 3.25/5 Keep following along to find out which rolls will end up in our sushi hall of fame!
