What better way to spend the middle of winter than to tour around town trying all sorts of exciting hot chocs! I did exactly that and loved them all! Make sure that you pay attention to the dates that each hot chocolate is featured, as some of them do not run for the entirely of the fest.
I tried all of these: The Tipsy Unicorn from Soirette Pastry Boutique (Strawberry and peach Schnapps hot chocolate featuring Cacao Barry zephyr topped with house made cotton candy. Served with a sparkling magic pretzel cookie.) Birthday Wishes from Butter Baked Goods (White chocolate birthday cake hot chocolate. Topped with pink-tinted, vanilla whipped cream and a mini slice of birthday cake.) The Campfire from Cartems Donuts (Made with smoked cocoa and creamy coconut milk chocolate. Garnished with vanilla marshmallow fluff and toasted flax seed graham cracker.) Ho Ho Ho Hazelnut from 49th Parallel Roasters (Sumptuous hazelnut chocolate and steamed milk.
Paired with any Lucky’s doughnut from the case.) In the Land of the Rising Sun from Thomas Haas Chocolates (Matcha white hot chocolate. Served with candied kumquat and matcha shortbread.) Wascally Wabbit from Bel Café (Carrot cake hot chocolate with Valrhona Dubey 32% blonde chocolate, warm spice and carrot crema. Accompanied by a cream cheese truffle.) Chocolate Chip Mint – ‘My Favourite Ice Cream’ Hot Chocolate from Terra Breads (A drinking chocolate made with Cacao Barry fleur de cao chocolate and infused with mint. Paired with a mini chocolate chip cookie.) Donut Misu! from Cartems Donuts (Made with dark roasted coffee, authentic amaretto and a hint of nutmeg. Garnished with a white chocolate donut truffle.) Pretty in Pink from Bel Café (Valrhona Ivorie white chocolate with rose oil and vanilla. Paired with a raspberry macaron.) Il Bicerin from 49th Parallel Roasters (Dark chocolate, espresso and steamed milk topped with vanilla cream and chocolate sprinkles. Paired with any Lucky’s doughnut from the case.)
