2015 Thoughts, resolutions, re-caps, bests...

I usually try to post this every year on the 1st of January, but time has gotten away from me this year! It’s my annual blog of thoughts regarding the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016!

BOOKS THAT I READ IN 2015:

Four by Veronica Roth

Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella

Yes Please by Amy Poehler

Yoga Girl by Rachel Brathen

Swimming Pool Sunday by Madeleine Wickham

Wanderlust by Jeff Krasno

My favourite book of the year!

I hope that if you give any of my picks a try that you'll love them as much as I do!!

IN 2015 I TRAVELLED TO THESE PLACES:

London, Ontario X 3

Toronto, Ontario

Ottawa, Ontario X 4

Muskoka, Ontario X 3

Quebec City, Quebec

Vancouver, British Columbia X 2

Hornby Island, British Columbia

Qualicum Beach, British Columbia

Tofino, British Columbia

Edmonton, Alberta

Regina, Saskatchewan X 2

Burlington, Vermont, USA

London, England

Aljezur, Portugal

Lisbon, Portugal

Sintra, Portugal

Niagara Falls, Ontario

Seattle, Washington, USA

This was a tough choice!! I’m enamoured with London, England and not much can ever top going to Vancouver Island... But I have to choose my experience in Aljezur as the best place that I went to in 2015. Staying at Tipi Valley Surf & Yoga Eco Retreat was pure magic.

IN 2015 I SAW THESE BANDS PLAY LIVE:

Stars

Hedley

What a slow year for live music!!! At least the bands that I did see were two of my faves. I’d pick Stars as the best show though, because it was amazing to finally see them live (and for the 10th time) in their own hometown.

WEDDINGS THAT WE ATTENDED IN 2015:

Laura & Matt got married on June 20, 2015 on Hornby Island!

Enobong & Ian got married on August 15, 2015 in Regina!

Jeff & Mya got married on October 11, 2015 in London!

Ben & Christine got married on October 17, 2015 in Seattle!

FAMILY/FRIENDS WHO HAD BABIES IN 2015:

Angela & Greg had Amelia on March 26, 2015!

Heather & Curtis had Gavin on March 27, 2015!

Katie & Tommy had Adalyn on July 4, 2015!

Candice & Ryan had Carter on July 8, 2015!

Susan & Matt had Adeline on October 3, 2015!

And of course... RESOLUTIONS... First let's see how I did with my 2015 resolutions:

~ Start my own food blog and take it very seriously. I really hope that this will finally come together this year!

~ Lay low a bit more this year and SAVE MONEY. Start working again.

~ Get caught up on my annual photo books for serious!!!

~ Continue taking my yoga journey to the next level. Try to make as much progress this year as I had made last year.

~ Never stop dreaming big and living big. Nothing is impossible.

~ Establish a more permanent, solid and settled Montreal life.

Some of these worked and some of these didn’t. The stall on the food blog has been annoying. Money was definitely better this year, however I didn’t find a job, even though I did apply for several. Yoga and dreaming big was better than ever! Overall, I feel comfortable with the way that things went, even if not everything was achieved. Successes came in other ways that I didn’t anticipate in 2015!

So this leads us to...

2016 RESOLUTIONS/GOALS:

~ Food blog. Seriously. No more messing around!

~ Two more photo books to catch up on...

~ Keep working on my yoga inversions! Get away from that wall!

~ Plan an epic sabbatical for us! Do Asia!

~ Create human life?

~ Eat one vegetarian and one fish dinner per week.

~ Start dealing with some home renos.

I'm wishing everyone a wonderful 2016! Don't dream it, be it!
