Regina

My second Canadian city: I lived in Regina for 6.5 years. This is where I gained a lot of much-needed perspective.

This is the place that is putting Regina on the culinary map and paving the way for more. It's one of the best restaurant in the city, hands down! They understand their clientele and I love that.

Must Try: Wellington ~ Beef tenderloin wellington, prosciutto, mushroom duxelle, creamed spinach, baby carrot, beef jus.

This is the fried chicken that you need to know about in Regina! HOT TIP: You totally want to Hot Your Chicken!
Must Try: Honey Hab Sandwich ~ Fried chicken breast, honey-habanero mayo, cheddar, pickled red onion, lettuce.

I love this unique cafe that highlights croissants and other patisserie items with an Asian flair. Try a "Crème" Latte to drink!

Must Try: Five Spiced Short Rib Banh Mi Croissant ~ Housemade mayo, cucumber, pickled carrot, cilantro.

Very excited that Regina has a ramen place as good as this! Don't sleep on the steamed buns!
Must Try: Shoyu Ramen ~ Pork broth, farm egg, pork belly, bean sprouts, napa cabbage, nori. The spicy Korean Fried Chicken is also excellent.

My favourite restaurant in Regina! From the decor to the knowledgeable staff to the exciting veg-forward dishes... You are in for a special experience. Order the "Large" set menu (you won't regret it).
Must Try: Pistachio Butter ~ Focaccia, ricotta, truffle honey.

Really cute outdoor market. Not super huge but has some nice stuff! Every Wednesday & Saturday, May-October.
Fave Vendors: Thrive Juice Co., Reid's Artisanal Butchery (hanger steak & merguez!)

Finally! Hands down the best place in Regina to get the best cheese, specialty products, and even real Montreal bagels (every Thursday!). You need to make Aleana and her crew a part of your world. HOT TIP: Try their delicious weekly Smushwich!
Must Try: Their incredible cheese selection.

 The Grotto ~ Vibank

Everyone talks about this place, 45 minutes outside of Regina. The hype is real. Getting in is tricky; you must have a reservation. They do an authentic Mexican night on Fridays and a Southern BBQ night on Saturdays. The food is legit.
Must Try: Their incredible Southern BBQ Night! The pork back ribs are for real!

Have you tried Regina-style pizza? Quite possibly my favourite pizza of ALL pizzas (from North America, that is). Crazycheesy and the sauce is tangy and incredible. The sauce is boss. I don't know why the best pizza resides in Regina, but it does.

Must Try: Erika's Original ~ Pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, fresh tomato, banana peppers, black olives, and extra sauce.

An amazing vegetarian neighbourhood spot, super adorable and comfortable.

Must Try: Any of the delicious Bowls
