A weekend institution, this market has been around since 1951! Expansive and beautiful with both indoor and outdoor areas. Every Saturday, year-round.
Fave Vendors: Fernhill Farm (maple syrup!), Fromagerie au fond des bois (cheese!), Tuddenham Farms (blueberries!).
If you find yourself on the Acadian Peninsula, this is where you must eat! What a lovely place to discover.
Must Try: Seafood Pizza - Lobster, shrimp, and scallops with lobster sauce and mozzarella.
One of the very best restaurants in the Maritimes. Chef Ross Larkin's menu is beautifully regional with an Asian twist. Incredible! Every dish was a dream!

Chef Todd Perrin's new restaurant is a must-try, offering fresh worldly flavours. I didn't expect the Spanish vibe on the menu and I loved it.
Must Try: Pan Con Tomate & Jamón - Oven roasted herbed tomatoes, garlic rubbed sourdough, dried cured ham.
THE BEST LOBSTER ROLL OF ALL-TIME. I promise you!! We were told that there is about a lobster and a half in each one. I couldn't believe my eyes!
Must Try: Lobster Roll + Fries - Loads of lobster on a toasted bun with lemon and chive mayo. Served with hand-cut fries and coleslaw.
Open since 1946, this is the original Nova Scotian lobster supper! An iconic experience complete with lobster bibs!
Must Try: 1.5lb Lobster Dinner - Includes one pound fresh cultivated mussels, unlimited salad bar, roll, and choice of dessert with tea/coffee.
Words cannot describe. More than a meal, this is an entire life-changing experience. The feast begins with the Welcome Bar followed by the Farm Tour (ours was led by Chef Michael Smith himself). Next is Oyster Hour - incredible!! I am ruined for any other osysters forever. And finally the FireWorks Feast itself. Chef Smith shucked our oysters and prepared our dinner. I cannot say enough about this magical evening and every person should experience it!
Must Try: East Coast Chowder - Housemade bacon, mussels, bar clam, halibut, scallop, salt cod, lobster, potato anchor, hana tsunomata, seaside lamb's quarters, sea wort.
One of two restaurants currently open under the Chef Jeremy Charles umbrella, this casual (yet elevated) spot celebrates fine fare and spirits while using fresh ingredients from local purveyors.
Must Try: Carbonara - Spaghettini, shallot, garlic, guanciale, egg, parmesan.
This restaurant is so well done. The plates are unexpected, creative, and interesting! The flavours are bold and delicious! Probably the best place in town.
Must Try: Beef Tostada - Soy-braised brisket, cilantro salsa.
